HMICS Audit and Assurance Review of Stop and Search: Phase 2 - Terms of Reference

HMICS has published terms of reference for our Audit and Assurance Review of Stop and Search: Phase 2. The aim of this audit and assurance review is to follow-up on recommendations made within our Audit and Assurance Review of Stop and Search: Phase 1 report, published in 2015, and to undertake an independent audit of stop and search data.

The aim of this audit and assurance review is to consider the state, effectiveness and efficiency of the arrangements surrounding the use by Police Scotland of the facial search technology capabilities contained within the UK Police National Database (PND).

HMICS Counter Corruption Unit Assurance Review - Terms of Reference

HMICS has published its Terms of Reference for its assurance review of Police Scotland’s Counter Corruption Unit.

The aim of this assurance review is to assess the state, effectiveness and efficiency of Police Scotland’s Counter Corruption Unit (CCU). The review will provide an independent assessment of the operations, systems and procedures in place, including compliance with the relevant legislation, codes of practice, policies, procedures and recognised best practice.
